The Cheju Tourist Folk Center was grnted about 98billion won to build on a site of 5,600 pyong within Shin-San Park. The Center, as the Mecca of Cheju Performance Art, will play an important role in advertizing the traditional folk culture and in action as a central focus for night-time tourism in Cheju Province, linked with other famous tourist resdors sucj as the Cjeju Folk and Natural History Museum and Samseonghyeol. Along with making the culture and folk traditions of Cheju more active and alive, the scent od Cheju as a tourist resort island, equipped with its ideal facilities such as traditional food restaurant, fsat-food shop, agricultural product shop, crafts shop and outdoor theatrical stages.
